Charlotte's 1st Birthday Party

Charlotte's 1st Birthday party was simply amazing!! We had such a wonderful time and all the planning for 3 months turned out just perfect!
It was a movie star theme with a concession stand, hotdogs, popcorn machine, balloons, and stars everywhere! I had such a fun time planning her 1st party, maybe a little too fun! :)
It turned out to be perfect weather and we had it in our backyard. At first I was a little nervous that it was going to be too cold or too warm because the weather was crazy the last few weeks. But all in all in was the perffect day. We had all of Charlotte's family and her friends there. Charlotte was a bit shy the whole day because she had all the attention on her and their were a lot of family and friends at her party. But the smile never left her face throughout the day.
I can not believe she is 1. This year has simply been a gift. On my first birthday I started walking but Charlotte started walking at 10 1/2 months so at her party she was a complete pro!
I just wanted to say a special thank you to everyone who came, it truly meant the world to us. We are so blessed to have you all in our lives. Thank you for the wonderful gifts and being a part of Charlotte's big day! The pictures really say it all!

My first Easter

This has been long overdue. Life has taken over since my last post. I have a lot of updating to do. Sorry but there will be a lot of new blogs coming your way in the next few days...I have a lot!
Easter in April was amazing. We went home to my parents house. I was really excited for Easter this year because Easter has always been my favorite Holiday. We went to dollar tree and target earlier that week to get all of Charlotte's goodies for her Easter basket. I had so much fun picking out things I thought she would like. I always enjoyed opening up my basket every Easter.
This Easter was especially special because it was Charlotte's first. The weather was a little chilly and rained the night before so we did the Easter egg hunt inside. Charlotte found her first egg right away but then just stayed fixated on the same egg and gave up looking for anymore. It was too cute though.
For the last 5 years my dad continued to hide eggs. But instead of candy in the eggs there was money and lotto tickets. Much more fun. Ryan and I searched the house for our eggs and then scratched all our tickets. We ended up with 5 free tickets and about 10 dollars in cash. Not too bad, just a lot of fun :)
After our morning hunt my dad's side of the family came over for Easter lunch.. It was so nice to see our family. I love taking the opportunity to head to Union City so I can see my amazing silly family. We had wonderful food, good laughs, and many talks. Looking forward to next Easter when Charlotte will have more of an idea of looking for eggs! :)

Hop, hop, hop....
Happy Easter!

Love the eggs in my mouth!

Sunday BBQ with The Anderson's

Last Sunday we went over to Ryan's parents house for a BBQ and a visit! Charlotte loves going over there because she has a huge yard to play in, big Living room, and dogs to look at! It was a gorgeous day outside. The food was delicious but the company was greater. Charlotte played peek-a-boo with the dogs, crawled around like crazy, laughed with Grandma and Grandpa Anderson. Ryan's parents are so caring and lovable. Grandma Jenny watches Charlotte every other Friday, and on Wednesdays when we go to Church. Grandpa Ricky just loves his time with her. Charlotte loves taking off his hat and listening to all his silly sounds. We are so grateful for them. Pictures from our Sunday afternoon :)

Weekend full of Love and Family :)

Last weekend my parents came down to visit. I love when we are with them. I feel whole again with my parents are around. I keep praying that they will move here soon! I know it will be just perfect when they do move here. Until then we continue to see eachother every other weekend or as much as possible. They either come visit us or we try our hardest to go to the Bay Area.
Anytime that we all get together is a great time! I look forward to these visits. This was another great weekend! The weather was perfect! We ordered pizza, went to lunch, laughed, smiled, told jokes, and just so much more!
My parents are 2 of the most amazing people I know. They have been through everything with my sister and I. We have shared so many wonderful memories through the years. I continue to look forward to all the many more laughs and memories we will share together. I am so incredibly lucky and blessed to have them in my life. My parents will do anything for us. They are truly an inspiration of how hard they work. They have the greatest hearts. I look up to the way they parented my sister and I. I hope that I can follow in their footsteps :)
When I watch them with Charlotte it just melts my heart! I love seeing them interact and love on her. Their smiles never go away and every moment is priceless! My dad is such a teddy bear and just adores his 2 grandaughters.. My mom is so loveable and kind and can not get enough of her two grandaughters! These memories will be etched in my heart forever!
Here are some pictures of the weekend!

Afternoon of Baseball and Sun

Last Saturday was a beautiful Spring day. We decided to go visit Annie at Jason's Baseball game. It was a wonderful day for baseball. Fresno High won their first morning game 11-1. They had another afternoon game that we decided to go too. The weather was just perfect. Charlotte loves being outdoors so this was perfect medicine for her poor teeth. She has her top 3 coming in all at the same time ouch! I love spending time with Annie. She is one of my dearest and closest friends. Annie and I have known each other almost 8 years. We met at Fresno State in one of our Teaching Classes. Ever since that first Tuesday in class, we have been friends ever since. It was meant to be. We have gone through so much together. Laughs, cries, break-ups, crushes, weddings, and just so much more. We were in one-anothers weddings. I am so blessed to have her as a friend, I enjoy spending time with her. Charlotte adores her, every time Annie leaves Charlotte smells just like her for hours. It's so cute! Thank you Annie for inviting us out to play. I know that we will be going to a lot more Fresno High, and Fresno State games this Spring and Summer. We better start her early on the sports because her daddy is a huge fan of any sport! Here are a few pictures of our beautiful Saturday Afternoon!

A visit with Charlotte's Great Grandparents!

Sunday was a dreary, cold day. But a perfect day for a family drive up to Coarsegold. We had a lunch date with Ryan's grandparents and Charlotte's great-grandparents. All of my grandparents have passed away. It is so very hard to have them here to see Charlotte grow up. But I know that they are all sitting around a table together and looking down on us. Charlotte is named after my mom's mom. So they will always have a bond together. So we are so very lucky to have Ryan's grandparents. They are incredible amazing people. I love visiting with them and hearing of Grandpa George's tall tales. He always has some joke to say or an interesting story to hear. It reminds me of my Grandpa Aurit of all his war stories and work stories.

Charlotte had a wonderful time crawling and walking around the couches all afternoon. She took 2 steps for the very first time towards her Great-Grandpa!! George's face was priceless! He was my witness, he saw her very first 2 steps. I was shocked! It was just a wonderful Sunday. I cherish these times. Just sitting around, laughing and enjoying eachothers company.
