Father's Day in Shaver

Today I thought it would be fun to go up to Shaver Lake and go fishing. Since that is what Ryan loves. Ryan's parents joined us to which made the trip a whole lot better. We got ready early in the morning and packed the car up. The drive from our house to Shaver is only 45 minutes! C fell asleep the whole ride their until the road started to get bumpy. We decided to picnic and fish the backside of Shaver. We went down road 3 which was quite bumpy. I am not a fan of bumpy roads but C didn't mind.
We found the perfect spot to set up our blankets, chairs, fishing poles, and food! It was THE PERFECT day! Ryan and my father n-law caught 7-10 fishes. Charlotte caught the first fish and even slapped the fish around! She didn't care one bit, just like her daddy!
We had fun eating our picnic, playing in the water, catching fish, enjoying the sun, and just spending time with one another! We even set up a area in the back of grandma's car for Charlotte to play around. We decided to make this a tradition! I just love spending time with Charlotte and Ryan! It was a bonus spending the day with Charlotte's grandparents! She loved it!

Our First Family Vacation to Portland, Oregon

Our first family vacation was simply amazing! Words can not describe how excited we were to go visit our nephews, Ryan's sister and brother in-law, Tanya and Mike. We planned our trip in January and were beyond excited to go.

We headed down to the bay area Friday afternoon to stay with my parents. My mom took us to the airport early Saturday morning. Not going to lie but we were pretty nervous about the flight. This was Charlotte's first plane ride! Ahhhh...I was shaking I was so nervous! But nothing to be nervous about, we gave Charlotte a bottle as we were waiting for the plane to take off and she fell asleep. She slept the whole time. That made the ride to Portland so much better!

We arrived to Portland right in time for Harrison's baseball game. The weather in Portland was a little unusual for them becuase just a few days ago it was raining but it was 85 when we got there. Just perfect! After the game we all went to lunch at a Brewery. The food was amazing.

Our trip was just perfect. Filled with lots of laughs, good food, many walks, park visits, late night bananagrams (such a fun game). The best part was watching Harrison, Blake, and Charlotte interact and play with eachother. They had such a wonderful time playing and exploring together! We really look forward to going back next year. Thank you to the Rhodes family for letting us visit! We love you guys and miss you so very much! Char Baby misses her cousins!! :)

Charlotte's Bday Party in Union City

Charlotte is one very lucky girl!! Well we all know that a birthday is one day but instead it always lasts an entire week! My mom decided to throw a Birthday Party for Charlotte but with my dad's side of the family and my mom's. It was a great turnout and a ton of fun! It was a lot of fun watching her play with her Aunt's, Uncles, cousins, and little friends. I love seeing how she interacts with others. She is so sweet and shy at first and then becomes a silly, fun loving little girl. Yes a girl...no longer a baby! :( This year was filled with many wonderful memories that will stay close to my heart. We look forward to all the many more memories we will create together. Charlotte has changed our lives for the better, I could not imagine my life any different.
Thank you to our family and friends for sharing in another special memory for us with our sweet Charlotte!

Mother's Day-Zoo time!

This day was such a fabulous day!! It was extra special because it was Charlotte's actual birthday as well. We started the morning with breakfast and coffee. Then got ready to head to the zoo. The weather looked like it was going to rain but it ended up being a most perfect day! We went with my parents, sissy, and Lilly. My sister and I got to celebrate our first Mother's Day together!! LAst year I came home with Charlotte on Mother's day. This year was fun because we were all together as a family. We ate lunch at the zoo ehich was very yummy. Charlotte loved walking aroundin the stroller with her cousin. My favorite part of the whole day was feeding the giraffes together. That evening Ryan made a yummy steak dinner. The next day I was able to get a pedicure and manicure from my parents! :) Happy Mother's Day and Happy Birthday Charlotte!!
